The 4-day mid-August festival (incorporating 3 evening meetings) has everything a summer racing festival should have: sun (usually), style, spectacular racing and great entertainment. Dedicated to providing exceptional children’s entertainment. The Festival Marquee will host Front Runners (racing themed activities for kids), Agri Aware Mobile Farm, bouncy castles, arts n’ crafts stations, face-painters, balloon modellers, and clowns .

The Sean Kelly Cycling Tour is an event that celebrates the legacy of one of the world's greatest cyclists. Sean Kelly invites you to join him and cycle over the cobbles and through the mountains and valleys where he once trained.

There are three routes of varying lengths suitable for both the experienced and inexperienced (160km, 90km and 50km) showcasing the unrivalled scenery of County Waterford. This is now one of Ireland's premiers leisure cycling events and attracts participants from all over Ireland and abroad. Experience Irish Hospitality at its best and enjoy the 'craic and banter' with fellow cyclists and locals alike. A warm welcome awaits you and your family in the picturesque harbour town of Dungarvan which has many attractions within easy driving distance including beaches, hill walking, the best of local food, history and culture.

The annual Tramore Oceanic Surf and Sea Festival will take place on September 25 and 26 in the seaside town. A full programme of activities for a ladies surf weekend and action packed family fun. Activities open to all at the Tramore Beach area are Beach Volleyball, guided ECO Walks, a Skate Jam, kite Making Workshop, Surfing, Kite Surfing Demonstrations, Wind Surfing Demonstrations, Classix Volkwagan Show, Sea Angling, Pony trecking, a Seaweed workshop, Battle of the Bands, a Country Market and much more.
The Michaelmas celebration will feature the unique and historic Seaweed Doll Parade at the festival closing ceremony along the Promenade in Tramore, this links back to a tradition circa 1920 in Tramore, which occurred on or around the Feast Day of St Michael. The women of the town who worked the 'Bathing Boxes' on the beach always held this event in Tramore.

Description:
Swim: The 750m sea swim will take place in Dunmore East Bay and will have a beach start. The bay is sheltered with little or no waves and there is usually no swell during mid summer. The bay is surrounded by cliffs which offer great views for spectators.
Cycle: The transition area will be in a car park easily accessible via a path connected to the smaller of the two beaches where the swim exit will be. The 20Km cycle will be an 'out and back' route on the main Dunmore to Waterford road. This is an undulating road with a good surface.
Run: The 7km circuit run starts with a testing 'climb' followed by a run through some country roads before returning to the main Dunmore road for the home straight. The finish will be in the village of Dunmore East.
